I have three seperate questions for three different categories, so I thought I would just post it into the XP thread.
First, If I were to make my laptop a server, how difficult would it be to have a dynamic ip connect to an actual domain at the same time. So basically like a roaming website.
2nd. Could I, or how would I setup a MySql, +server etc, to host any php and databases for the roaming website, while still using windows XPh.
3rd.
if i were to post this. who could give me an answer.?

Probably not a good idea to have a laptop as a server, but
there are a few services on the net that will keep your domian and ip associated.
I use no-ip.com
Their program can be installed as a service and will monitor and update the ip when neccessary.
http://www.no-ip.com/downloads.php
2)
The programs are pretty easy to setup these days. All have Windows installers and install wizards
If you want Apache, PHP, mySQL, phpMyAdmin then there are serveral packages that bundle all
http://www.appservnetwork.com/
http://sourceforge.net/projects/phptriad/
http://sourceforge.net/projects/foxserv/
I've used foxserv on w2k without any problems, although when I installed it a few of the programs were older versions.
or if you are using IIS with Windows then it's easy enough to install PHP & mySQL via the installers from websites.

Are you ureferring to an Intranet type of website, or you want to be able to roam and server a wesite at the same time?!?
Here's what comes from the Converter: &v : `Li
?!?
0101111001011110
101001101001010100101001
A binary "joke" would be:
There are 10 types of people in this world... Those who understand binary and those who don't...

yeah, thats where this joke originally came from but its not only binary, so you still dont have it fully decrypted .. :)
2nd what I want is to have my laptop setup as a webhost server. so that wherever I am, it goes online to whatever ISP it seems to connect to, so say I was travelling, I'd be able to have it connect in Vancouver (hosting), then in Calgary (hosting) etc, but using wireless APs that are around, so it would be a website that is never at the same ip address for more than a day or so, using local wireless APs from people who dont know how to encrypt their router networks. etc. .
thanks again :P

Already answered. Utilities such as No-Ip and others will contact their server and update the details to associate the IP and Domain Name.
