Pop is back w/ a new problem.
Since upgrading from win95 to win98, I have experienced a few config. problems most of which have been resolved on this site. Remaining one relates to US Robotics 10/100 PCI NIC card which performed well under win95.
Since my "upgrade", it stopped working...no network connection. Have tried it in different expansion slots; no go; windows tells me:

"WINDOW Stopped responding while attempting to start this divice. (Code 11). Windows will never attempt to start this device again".

Tried to replace w/ LINKSYS 10/100 EtherFast adapter, but it require faster (200Mhz +) processor than I have--mine is AMD comparable to Basic Pentium
and install hangs up. Plan to return Linksys.

Is their a "slower" NIC card available? Might my problem be IRQ related?
Any suggestions on how to get back on network? need more complete statement of the problem?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Power off.
Take the NIC out. Power on and Boot and see if everything is running correctly.
Now find and load the drivers for the NIC and install.
Power off and install NIC.
Power on and Reboot and see what's cook'n.;)
