:wave: hi every one I get a black screen on my windows 98 machine on start up what is this and how do stop it? Is this because of spyware and adware?

Need more info. First tell us about your system itself.
Then, tell more about the problem. Do you ever get video? If so, when does it cut out? Can you make it to the desktop? Can you enter Safe Mode or the BIOS?
When did this first occur? Was it around the time of any new software or hardware installations?
Have you tried any fixes before posting here? If so, what have you tried so we know what doesn't work.

I hatre entering SAFE MODE on my computer!!!!
Everytime i go boot back in regular mode,my icons are all messed up :mad:
