:( HI. I am trying to connect a second computer for gaming using a usb through a DSL GATEWAY the router I am using is a Actiontec 54mbps wireless. The host computer is using the ethernet connection, and the second computer, (mine) is using the usb.
the problem I am having, is that after 15 minuets or so of smooth operation, the usb connection fails on the secondary,(my) computer, and then the host computer loses the internet connection and need reset and restart.
My question is.....what can I do to keep the connection on both computers?:raphael: if someone could help me with this it would be greatly appriciated.

here is the following status for the host computer..
WAN
connection- connected
mode - static ip
ip address- 207.170.255.167
subnet mask-255.255.255.240
gateway -207.170.255.161
DNS#1 -216.64.180.11
DNS#2 -207.170.227.121

LAN
IP address - 192.168.0.1
net mask -255.255.255.0
DHCP server-on

? HOW do I keep the host computer which is using ethernet, and the second computer (mine) which is using USB from failing the connection?

both computers are desktop pcs, and both are running windows me.

You might want to get into the routers setup and change the MTU if its set at 1500 that is a bit high for dsl really try 1492 or 1400 see if that helps. Also with dsl its a good idea to check for keep alive settings.
