This is a probelm we are having at work and it has our IT people stumped. I believe they also have contacted Miscroft regarding this -at least that's what they have told me.

We are on office2000. When we are trying to print a tab within a workbook we get the following error message.

"Excel.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows.
You will need to restart the program."

Some of the tabs within the same workbook works but others come up with the error. Also when you forward this file to someone else it can work and the file also seems to work from home.

This message also has happend when clicking on the menu bar the font size but the majority of the time it is when we are trying to print. When this happens it knocks you out of excel and closed all workbooks that you have open.

Not sure if this is the right forum for this type of question but I am desperate to resolve this.

Do you have the latest updates and service packs?

See if this helps the printing

Hi Walter

Is this problem always when printing from the same computer? Have you tried it from another computer?

I had a similar obscure problem with excel and it turned out to be bad RAM in the computer, only showed up when doing the particular operation. BF

thanks for your reply. This one I had brought up to our IT but he said this was not an issue with our printer name being too long.
