ePeople board

For those of you who remember "when", it finally happened :

ePeople Message Board Notice

We regret to announce that as of February 15th 2001, the ePeople Message Board will be discontinued. The decision was based on the need to focus on our core business and the future of ePeople - because of that, we weren't able to give the attention to the message board needed to make it really useful for you. For those of you who use these forums as a way of communicating with other members, we know you will find other venues for this. In fact, several message board members have started similar message board forums. Please communicate with each other over this week to share your knowledge of how to locate these boards. The forum administrators will be happy to help. We thank you for your participation and support and hope that you will utilize the ePeople marketplace for your ongoing support needs.

As HKEd said so eloquently - "R.I.P"

Well at least we can all say we saw it coming.

Commercialisation of that site in my eyes trashed a very vibrant community of helpers and helpee's (errr forgive that).

ePeople need their profits and don't need any "free help" as do their "support providers" that get paid by the public to answer their queries.

I can't say I'm happy about the boards closing, but I got rid of my dispondency a long time ago when their moderators started deleting everyones posts. Gave up on the boards, and on the site.

'tis a sad day because every member on that board contributed to making that site what it is. By them closing the boards it's a hell of a resource lost

I was a regular on that site for well over a year when it was sold to "ePeople". Didn't take me long (about 2 days) to hate that place. I left and never looked back. It went from a diamond to a pile of crap. Glad to see it go!

End of rant...I feel better now.

Junky, the "rant & rave" is one of the enjoyable things about this site. it lets me know that i am not the only one losing patience now and again. helps preserve my insanity

lol Bill

Yea I've been doing the rounds with the shameless plugs for the site like I think every techsite owner has been doing

I was a member at NoWonder though for quite a long time before it was taken over by ePeople and it's sad to see it finally take its bow.

Very nice of andym to put that list up tho I thought
