Explorer.exe has generated Errors.

I just recnetly upgraded my dad's compaq computer form windows 98 to Windows 2000 pro. It's worked fine for a cuple of months then when try to burn a cd or access (some) programs he gets an error but not all the time only some time. It said Explorer.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows . Why is this and is there an easy why to fix this problem ?

Do you have all the Windows updates?

Try this, Go to Start/Run/ Type: sfc /scannow

You will need you OS CD.
