Dave I do believe the ruling will go against napster, the guy that runs napster hopes that it will go in his favor not because he is being sued but because he will then be able to go on with his pricing plan to sell MP3s online with the three record companies he has signed up,I think if the ruling goes against him napster will have to shut down under any circumstance, and he will have to rewrite his whole program.

Well, right at this moment (for me, anyway), the search function does not seem to work...hmmmm! Where is this hearing being held?

sorry harrie
I starterd to get you that info then it slipped my mind.
SAN FRANCISCO is where its being held at.
taken from the Associated Press
On the eve of the ruling, just one of Napster's servers listed more than 2.2 million MP3 song files shared among 12,909 users. That number of songs - at an average playing time of four minutes per song - would take more than 17 years to listen to if played back to back.

Buzz, yeah right!!!!! http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/tongue.gif
SO without seeing the news tonight yet, if it turns out that we have to pay for the MP3's from Napster, how many of you will do that, or just go to one of the other programs??
Dave.

I won't. Personally only used Napster twice I think. Hated the fact that I wait for a download only to find out it suxxxxxxxx as far a quality goes.

Hmmm, I've used it a lot Buzz, but haven't had any bad quality songs. Okay, some of them might be bootleg stuff or whatever, but on the whole I find the sound quality to be very good.

"In a 2-to-1 decision, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ordered
song-swapping service Napster to stop trading copyrighted material as soon
as the judges finish downloading their favorite Pink Floyd songs, which the
judges have been unable to access due to heavy demand on Napster's servers."

napster was very easy to use and that really was the reason so many people stuck with it.
I have used AGS and the only problem I have with it was you never know when it will download, and I wouldnt want to be on a modem either.
I liked that zip funny http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

has anyone here tried imesh?
heard from others that used it that it was pretty good.
I found with Npaster most songs were okay, but odd times you would get poor quality stuff. My biggest complaint was getting cut off half way thru a song. I have so many incompletes that it will take forever to find them again and get the full song.
