Smile Symantec history, scan active.

Hi and Thank You CTH for being there. On my Symantec Anti-Virus Corporate Edition under Histories>Scan Histories there is showing an open scanning process and it is dated 5-3-05 without a completed date. When I right click the open scan and select properties it says, "please wait forl scan to complete successfully." Could this actually be continually stuck in a live scanning mode in the background? -PO-

Just try ending it and seeing if it starts again...It sounds like it either 1) Didnt complete and got left behind. 2) Didnt auto delete after it was done.......

Good Luck

Dude, thanks for your reply. I have been checking most of the day to fix this issue before responding. The closest thing I have found is on symantec>file>configure histories>history options window> set, delete history files to 1 day. And so now I will wait a day to see what happens.

TO finish off this topic, the history, event and virus files are all empty. So whatever was running is gone. I set history configuration to empty everyday.
