Vid card trouble???

I am having a problem with my PC. Everytime a run a game like half-life counter-strike our Star Wars galaxies, my computer freezes up and I am forced to shut it down. Does anyone have any idea of what may cause this or tell me what I can do? I have already tried to reinstall my OS. Plz help

We need more info about your computer, cpu, ram, harddrive size/space available. Also we need the operating system and video card
