i have the trojan horse dialer virus and need to wipe my c drive and reformat. do i have to have an original win98 disc to do this?

Hi Ken Ragas,
The answer would be yes. Reformatting would cause you to lose your data, and you would require a copy of 98 to reinstall the OS. The question would be why take such a drastic action. Have you tried a search of the CTH Cyber Safety forum for your problem, or considered posting the details of your problem at that forum for assistance? Most malware issues can be resolved without requiring reinstalling the system.
