adobe reader 6

i work on two computers, one in my office, another at home. both working on win 98 se, ie6.
till now my adobe reader at home was version 5 and i couldn't open some of the pdf files. lately i dowloaded the reader 6 version and i can read pdf files from the web.
but
on my office computer i received some pdf files which i can read ok. but when i copied them and transferred on floppy to my home computer, the reader window opens but the files does not load. i tried to load them from the explorer or directly from the reader's window, but it doesn' work.
what can be the reason and how to overcame it?
please advise.

I've had problems with Acrobat reading from floppies before - try copying back to hard disk and opening from there.

thanks smurfy, but no - i copied them to the harddisk from the floppy, and still they do not open. i can download pdf files from the web and open them with no problems, only the saved ones do not open.
