Hi guys,

I got a pc with 250 GIG HD, but it only shows 125 GIG. I already checked the disk management but cant find anything. I asked some friends but they told me to do something in the regedit with allow big size. But they dont know how to it exactly so i camed back to this site once again :). So how do i get the maximum GIG of my HD ? What should i do?

Thnx a lot.

i already found it guys :)

Goto

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINES\SYSTEM\CurrentControlset\Servi ces\atapi\Parameters

Make new DWORD in Parameters with the name EnableBigLba. Give it a value of 1. And set it on Hexadecimaal.

Restart your pc. And voila.

This works for 2000 and xp.

Yes that is a good tip thanks for posting. Note however that sometimes the BIOS must be flashed in order for it to see a hard drive of that size.
