100 best products for 2005

PC World has their listing of 100 best products for 2005.

The top ten are
Quote:
  1. Mozilla Firefox Web Browser
  2. Google Gmail Web Mail
  3. Apple Mac OS X Version 10.4 (Tiger) Operating System
  4. Belkin Wireless Pre-N Router and Notebook Network Card Wireless Networking
  5. Dell Ultrasharp 2405FPW 24-Inch Wide-Screen LCD
  6. Alienware Aurora 5500 Performance PC
  7. Seagate USB 2.0 Pocket Drive Portable Hard Drive
  8. Skype VoIP Service
  9. Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT Digital SLR Camera
  10. PalmOne Treo 650 PDA Phone
Interesting list. Opera was all the way down as 88 and I did not see anything from microsoft.

Thanks. Interesting.
Bet it's not easy coming up with top 100 when there may be a thousand new products.
Dell-6
Apple-5
So those 2 took over 10% share of the top.
Was strange M$ did not sneak in there somewhere.

Microsoft was number 26 or something like that with windows media player 10. Really though they didn't release much this year. When longhorn comes out though...it'll be a different story.

Absolutely correct. I blame renegade600 for my overlooking that. I perused too fast and M$ wasn't in my thought pattern.
I basically wanted to get a response out before it nulled below the page.
See, I did it for you renegade and got flamed.....er....corrected.
Funny. Thanks kage!

Is this the top 1O they [pc world] want people to purchase or is it done popularity wise or what.
It could just be an advert for their best selling stuff.
I bet it wouldn't have the same results if CTH members held a survey.

You'd figure with over 60 million users Bit Torrent should be on the list...but it's not.
