Help with printer

Each time I print from the internet, I recieve an additional page containing only a header and a footer.
What would cause this and what can I do about it?
I'm running WINDOWS XP and I have a HP Deskjet 540

Hello, go to settings, Printers, right click, properties, Printing Preferences, Pages per sheet should be 1, also inthe orentation part you might try Landscape instead of Portrait, the print out a test and see if that helps
