Hi everyone, just reformatted my hard drive and only one thing is not working as it once was.

In the following forum (Russian knowledge an advantage :-))
http://www.mama.ru/main/forum/frames?idBoard=115

...when we click on a topic at the left hand side the colour of it changes from blue to pink to let me know that we have read the topic.

The problem is, that when we click on the answers (window top right) to the topics then it does change from blue to pink. However, when we go back to the page at a later date then the answers remain blue.

Therefore we dont know which answers we have read and which not...

Any ideas how we can make it so that all viewed links change colour permanently??

Thanks in advance for the help

are you running any type of history cleaner utility?

Not that I am aware of...I havent altered the system since reformatting. I use Zone Alarm and AVG antivirus if this helps.

As I said, on the topics to the right the colour does change, but not in the other window...

Thanks again

Hi, I assume you are using MS Internet Explorer.
Tools>Internet Options>General>colors - Have you got user defined settings that may over-ride the web-page settings?
Have you tried a different broswer?

Nope, havent changed a thing...the strange thing is I am using the exact same tools, browser, disks and everything, and it worked before reformatting

Check the History settings and Temporary Internet Files settings to make sure you have appropriate values and sufficient space.
