Ok now, no idea if this can be fixed or not just by describing but will give it a shot.

A while back my gf went to a programming site asking for help with her computer......was slow etc...they told her to download Hi-Jack This! which she did and they told her what to delete, so she did and it worked faster....was great. Problem is, these guys dont like kazaa users, and obviously you can see she had kazaa and told her to delete something else.....i have no idea what that was.....but now you see, i cant use my antivirus because the updates wont connect to the internet, firewall is useless for the same reason.......and guess what, kazaa doesnt work either lol.

Im 100% certain, its one file that she deleted, but i have absolutely no idea what it is....does anybody have a clue? would really be nice to have those programs that i dearly need back. thanks

Anychance you remember what forum she went to and something we could search for, perhaps, if she's willing to give it out, her username. We can probably find the post that told her what to do and figure out where she went wrong.

Hijack This makes backups, try restoring them. To restore, open Hijack This again and click on Config > Backups. Select the entries that you wish to restore and click on Restore, click Yes to confirm and reboot.

hmm, well, if i could possibly post the old Hi-Jack this! log as well with a new one would you guys possibly be able to look at it and see which file it is that needs to go back? cause obviously the point of her doing it in the first place was to clean up the computer, would kind of not make much sense to just put it all back and make the computer even worse again lol
