Can't Hear AVI

I Cant Hear Any Audio When Trying To Play A Movie.
I've Used Windows Media Player 9 &6.4, Winamp, Real Player, Quicktime, DivX 2.6, BS Player, Power DVD.
I Also Installed AC3 Codec.
Can Anyone Help?

Where did you get the avi file - some don't have audio, some may be encoded by a particular piece of software and you will need a specific decoder (like ac3) to hear the audio - we're working in the dark unless we know what file it is we are dealing with.
