So I come home today after work and on my screen is...

...Ak! Eeek! What the! I was exploited.

After some checking I look at the router and my IP is in the DMZ. :(
I do remote services for some clients and I always get them to connect to me (much easier).
So I always throw my IP in DMZ to do the remote servicing. I forgot to un-DMZ myself last
time.

I must have been routerless for 3 or 4 days. How extremely dumb of me. I need more scripts :)

edit: BTW, don't anyone call that number unless you want your phone number swallowed into a database ;)

haha being DMZ on a windows box is asking for it for sure. Don't those pop up if you have windows messenger service running? Not msn messenger mind you but windows messenger service in services?

Yup. I need the messenger service on the network though.

Seems a certain bAdWaYz has been having a little fun sending NetSend's over the LAN lately, as well. :)

It just goes to show you how valuable a router is, and letting a dummy like me into the config can defeat the beauty of a router :O
