What error do you get? Maybe restart the service you want to try and use?

Thats just it I don't get an error other then the snap-in error itself when I run MMC.

I am going to try sp1 today as I have been putting it off.

Sounds like the system may be kinda pooched. I don't say this often but seince we are talking about a server here and uptime is an issue I would say that if you do backup "like a good system admin should" and have an image to restore from that would be the way to go. When time is a factor and you "need" the box to be up a restore from an image is just the ticket.

LOL I like you, I have a "system" backup from 2 weeks ago and a full backup of the documents folders/staff drive.

Hate this LOL

Don't sweat them. Knowledge is all relative. To some people your knowledge is extensive....to others it may not be. No one has all of the answers.
