I use a linksys wireless router, WRT54G, with my Xbox, my computer, my sisters, and another all being connected. My Xbox and my computer are hooked directly into the router itself, while the other two are wireless. After recently adding the last computer, whenever I use my Xbox, all of my connections shut down, and no computer can get on the internet. As soon as I log off, everything returns to normal. This had never happened before until just recently adding the new computer.
We also had problems getting the computer to pick up the routers signal, so it might possibly be that someone was changed in the routers options.
If anyone can help in any way, it would be appreciated.

Hello Aecio and welcome to CTH,
If I understand correctly, you can run with your two wired connections (1 computer, 1 Xbox) and a wireless connection from one of your computers. But, since you connect up the 2nd computer (wireless) you lose internet access when the xbox is turned on. You say if you shut off the Xbox , things start working again.
That doesn't sound like a router issue, so lets start with the computers and if everything looks fine there we can move on to checking the router.
Can you check the IP settings for the Xbox? Is it using DHCP to get its IP? What does it get for an IP address?
When the Xbox is connected can the computers ping the router and can they ping each other?
Have you tried trying with just the 2 computers and the Xbox and see if that works?

I'm not sure what the IP is that the Xbox is getting, as I have it on Automatic configuration. Yes, I have done it with just the two computers. My Xbox has worked fine online for the past year and a half, but when I just recently added this new computer, it has connection issues, and when I use it the rest of the computers go dead.
And I'm not sure about the computers pinging eachother or the router, I'm not sure how, sorry.

Can I ask you to try an experiment? Turn off the new computer, run the XBOX and try the other computers. Do they work?
