Wireless Connection not available?
I have a Dell Inspirion 600m that I just replaced the hd on.
I reinstall the os and all the drivers and things are working fine...excpet the wireless connection. The wireless adapter i am using is Intel Pro/Wireless LAN 2100 3a mini pci adapter. I reinstalled the drivers from the disk that came with the pc. There is also software called Intel ProSet. The wireless network does appear in the network connections but it unable to find any wireless networks. I know there are several network available and I have another Laptop that is able to see all of them. The wireless zero configuration service is running in services. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be great. |

The first thing I would do is make sure you have to right drivers. Those intel proset drivers from dell are normally old or people tend to get the wrong ones because there are about 50 ver of those drivers. Next if you are going to use the Intel ProSet software turn off Windows Zero Config. If you are going to use windows then turn off intel proset, the key is they don't play well together.
