Wireless Network Card
I am wondering if someone can help me out. I have SBC DSL on two computers and would like to set up a third computer. I have one desktop and one laptop already connected. The desktop is connected to the modem through a CAT5 wire because it is right next to the modem and the laptop has a wireless network card that came with the whole system when I ordered it, and they both work fine. Now I have another desktop in a different room that I would like to connect wirelessly because running a wire through my house isnt to good of an idea. My question now is the modem brand and the wireless network card for my laptop is 2wire does it matter what wireless network card I buy for my other desktop?

As long as your router supports wi-fi b and g and your adapter does to the brand won't matter. However do not think you can skimp on this because the better and more stable connection normally comes with a bit more price. I'm not saying go out and spend a ton of cash but a nice PCI wi-fi adapter will make you more happy down the road than some marked down bargan bin special with a cheap sticker price.
