Unhappy Wireless Netrwork on a Windows 98 Laptop

I got an E-Buddy from school and It has a PCMCIA slot... We have a wireless Network card for it and It finds the signal allright, but internet explorer doesnt seem to connect to the internet... I need it to find the internet throught the PCMCIA slot instead of the inboard dialup modem...

Any Suggestions?
Kessler ^_^

Alright, I'm not proud... I display my ignorance for all to see...

What is an E-buddy? What OS is it running?
