Wireless Problem

I just built a new PC. I installed windows yesterday and updated the drivers, the wireless card works but can’t find the router. I tried the USB wireless and it works. I moved the wireless card to another PCI slot and it finally work but signal keeps on dropping. I change the PCI card with my spare one and still same thing. I have a Dlink 704 and Xterasys 2423G

After you re-installed the pci wi-fi card did you also update its drivers? Are you using WEP or WPA at all? Any firewalls running on the computer with the pci card?
