gateway wont let me change my homepage
i just bought a new computer, and the homepage was set at gateway, in internet options i change it but it resets to gateway .com
i deleted all cookies that didnt work, i ran a test on xp and it says some files for window to run correctly need to be copied to dll cache, and to insert windows xp pro disc 2 now, well it didnt come with a disc, i just bought this at best buy two days ago, windows already in the computer when i brought it home what are my options, i cant believe my computer comes preloaded with spyware/ homepage hijacker from gateway

Try using HijackThis to change the default page.

you are right, after a long time,i finally figured out it was my ad watch program, not allowing a highjack, pretty embarrassing,but it makes me feel safer about hijack attempts from outside at least
