Hi Vice,
You only need to install this extension then access it via Tools > 'Tweak Network Settings'. The Tweak Network extension is an automated way of changing the user prefs without manually altering the pref's in either the prefs.js file or in about:config. There are 2 settings, default (which is the Firefox default settings) and Power User, which is the tweaked settings recommended to give Firefox a boost. When you select 'Power User' it changes the following:- network.http.max-connections from 24 to 40. network.http.max-connections-per-server from 8 to 16. network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy from 4 to 16. network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server from 2 to 16. network.http.pipelining.maxrequests from 4 to 8. network.http.pipelining to enabled network.http.proxy.pipelining to enabled There are more elaborate tweak settings you can use which takes into account your computer and internet connection speeds as described in this advisory. Another tweak guide.
