Hi
Im not too sure where to begin with this one. I've just finished university and have had the same pc for 3-4 years. At uni I have a 300k connection which connection via an ethernet cable and everything was fine with my internet.
Having just moved back in with my parents I'm now connected to a wireless house network via a netgear Wg111t usb transmitter thing. I can access the internet, but certain sites jsut refuse to work / load.
Amoungst other things the main ones being Ebay, hotmail and all microsoft related sites (including msn messenger). My dad hasnt intentially blocked any sites on the netgear wireless adsl router and we cant find any mention of blocked sites anywhere.
My dad uses a work laptop to connect to the network, so he thinks some work settings might have been transfered, but I think thats a bit unlikely.
We're all using internet explorer, although I have been using firefox lately to see if that helps (it dosent)
But heres the thing...
When you use the AOL connection program thing you can access all these sites (messenger excluded) so I've no idea whats going on. On top of that when I first connected to the network msn messenger connected for 1 time only, and it wont again.
Any ideas? Im stumpted...
Cheers
Edit: Bit more info. Theres my pc and 2 other laptops that use the network, all have the same problem. the laptops use xp home, I use xp pro.
