Heh,anyone care to install that stupid gator crap??

http://news.zdnet.com/5208-1009-0.html?forumID=1&threadID=11665&messageID=232968&start=-1 (Heres 1 message about Gator someone posted)

I wouldnt be surprised if this patch makes it easier for MS to control gator on your computer.......

EDIT:

I WAS RIGHT!!!!!

Gator install?
So it is going to patch Windows at the core to allow Gator to install even if you do not use IE as your browser?

The worst part of the joke is, you have to patch IE even if you do not use it because of the integration that you are not allowed to undo. What moron thought it would be okay to let every Tom, Joe Smoe and Harry into the core of the OS when users browsed web pages?

That's simply not true, The Dude. Please post facts here, not someone else's paranoid speculation.

Donny,

Zipulrich knows the hard facts about Gator etc....
I can tell you in public this not a forum about "I was RIGHT".
CTH is about HELPING.

our PM system is not meant to do the helping in the "dark" either.

for all gentlebeings.
Let me say this in public, banter can be fun in a chatroom.
We are not a chatroom.
Banter, yes, we have a forum for general discussion, and jokes, but can you imagine letting all that cleverness go 100 percent to waste, just for the fun, where same cleverness can make your uphil learning look less like a sawblade graph?

Bill C. had a nephew, and he said that to a kid of Bill. ( a plane takeoff/landing analogy... with the energy expenditure that entails.)
kid realised the truth, and worked it out, saw it at THE truth.
Learning graph got uphil, with a lot less dips in it.
CTH has many experienced users, and lots of smart ones.
Like Bill's nephew said, be smart, fly economically.
You really will get respect that way.
