Where does one obtain a program that will do the formatting automatically?

Hi elderguy, I split your question off from the other thread.
Windows CD will do the formatting for you, or you can follow the instructions in our tutorial here (http://www.cybertechhelp.com/html/tutorials/tutorial.php/id/38).

Let me understand your suggestion ....do you mean that I can use my windows xp cd to format a hard drive...will it start at Fdisk and proceed automatically...or.. do I select "dos" and fdisk it to start with?
This sounds hopeful as I have several hard drives that I have not discarded because they are still useable....and would like to use in an old pc.
