Avant vs Firefox

after using the improved speed tip stickied here, i cannot decide which browser to use! i like the features of avant, and coupled with spywareblaster its jsut as safe as firefox. but alot of people use firefox. so i wanted some pro opinions and will make my final choice based on these. if you post, thanks!

Both pretty good imo.
I prefer Maxthon as an alternative to IE.

Firefox is my browser of choice followed some way back by Opera, but for IE based browsers with more security features than IE, I occasionally use Slim Browser (as suggested by Dammit some time ago!) and a relative newcomer Deepnet Explorer. There are other IE based browsers apart from those two which all seem pretty alike to me, Avant, Maxthon, Advanced, Crazy and so the list goes on.

Sorry, but Firefox Rocks!

Firefox is by default a tabbed browser. You'll find the settings for the Tab Behaviour in Tools > Options > Advanced > Tab Browsing.

The hottest extension for more elaborate tab control is Tab Mix Plus.

Click with the center button (wheel) if you want a link to open in a new tab.
