netscape and ie problems

ok mi have windows xp home with sp2 i use netscape 8.0, well i did, and i have trillian instant messanging. i have two computers in a room connected with a router and dsl modem. all of a sudden, when i clicked on netscape, it said that domain name is not found, please try again later. Then i logged onto trillian and it wouldnt connect. then it connected and netscape worked for like 5 min the it disconnected again. now for about a week, trillian connects but netscape either says the domain name thing or it doesnt load anything and it says untitled. when i tried ie, it said this page cannot be displayed but limewire and trillian and everything else that needs internet connection works fine.

and on top of that, now i cant run in safemode, it says hal.dll is missing and the task managert doesnt open with ctrl alt del.
