Cant change i.e. 6 start page

Hi! I'm new here, maybe you guys know whats up. Anyway, I'm working on a friends computer. His start page has been hijacked. You cannot change the start page in IE settings (well you can, but it immediatly changes right back to the spam site). I have even went through msconfig and hijack this! with no luck Have even ran spybot s&d, Microsoft antispyware beta, Norton AV, and adaware 6. I have traced the start page registry key down and have even tried changing it in the registry. You change the key value, but it reverts right back. Even tried deleting the key, but it comes right back-even in safe mode. Anyone have any ideas?

P.S. im at work right now, but i will submit a Hijack This! log when i get home.

Post the Hijack This! log in the Cyber Safety forum (http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=25) for the experts there to analyze. Tell them everything you've tried so far to fix the problem, too.
