Fading Away

Hello. I'm a new member so I hope I explain my problem well enough for everyone to understand.
Here's my problem. Some hyperlinks aren't working, they open up then just fade away.
Prime example. I go to this website http://earth.google.com/earth_pro.html and there's a hyperlink at the end of the first paragraph that reads "try it free of charge for 7 days". When I click on that link it opens up fine then it just fades off the screen. It doesn't minimize to the taskbar which I thought it was doing at first, it just disappears. I was going through all the posts and found one that said to try holding the SHIFT key while clicking the link and if it works you've isolated the problem, something to do with pop-up blocker, so I tried it but it didn't work, so I turned off the pop-up blocker and tried it again and it still didn't work.
The only way I've got it to work correctly is to RIGHT click and choose "Open in New Window".
My profile lists my computer setup but I forgot to enter that I have Norton Internet Security 2005 which also has NAV.
I hope it's something simple.

Have you checked all your Security programs? It could be a toolbar such as google, it could be Internet Explorer SP2 or another program with a Popup Blocker.
