Keep getting these error messeges that say IE has encountered an error and will now close and the error is mostly in module HSHTML.Dll sometimes its module unknown I can not run online scans without getting these errors and IE closes. I have ran viruas scan with my antivirus and sopybot but finds nothing. Sometimes Iall I do is click on IE and get the error box have win 98 and all updates. I have even used my master recovery cd to reformatt and reinstall win. and still have the same problem. Tried firefox it has its own error box! I havelooked and looked for answers but my pc doesn't like it it seems to be able to read what I am goin to and closes with the error boxes. Some people say it is spyware or virus but how can that be when I erased my hard drive 3 times and reinstalled win.I am posting my hijackthis log will someone please give me a fix I haven't already tried.I get the same this from outlook express 6 "MSIMN error in MSHTLM.DLL or MSOE.Dll have internet explorer 6 sp1. 180 mg ram. 12 gig hard drive with 90% free.Have anti virus and spybot.

Welcome to CTH finster, your log is fine. Are you sure that the error is not in Mshtml.dll? If so, try downloading and installing the hotfix here. Reboot and let us know if it helps.
