Hi All,
I would like to know what LoadPowerProfile means. It runs on my pc each time I boot up. After I stop it from running it frees up about 2% of my memory. Just want to know if I should be letting it run or not. Thanks for your help.

Howdy:
LoadPowerProfile (powrprof.dll) is a module belonging to Microsoft Windows 9x which deals with Power Management accessible from the control panel.

Rundll 32 exe can be disabled,it' loads power profile'.Accessible thru Msconfig.Apparentlyit can be turned off with no problems, both entries in start-up can be unticked .Booting "selectively" also loads rundll and can
be used to cancel 'load power profile',have done this and sequence continued.
Also in BIOS power tweaks can be made,BTW pchealth in startup can also be
unticked as a useless waste of resources.

Deodar: Do a little research BEFORE you answer like that!!
rundll32.exe is a process which executes DLL's an places their libraries into the memory, so they can be used more efficiently by applications. This program is important for the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated.
