I'm working on a windows 98 machine, that has some problems with the dial up networking connections. There is a connection that the owner used before, but after some unknown event they are unable to connect to the internet through this connection. After dialing, and handshaking, the following error code pops up:
Error 645: The Microsoft Dial-Up Adapter is not installed or not responding properly. In the Network section of the Control Panel, remove the driver and then add it again.
I've tried doing this, but the computer asks for the Windows 98 disc. I insert it, but it says that the particular file (the file is different each time, it seems) cannot be found in the particular filepath, which in the browse window is c:\cabs or something like that (sorry, but I have to switch mouse, keyboard, moniter to boot the other machine, so I don't know exactly where it looks). I've tried to browse the Windows 98 disc, but I've not found the drivers.
Any help please?
