Web graphics (argh!!)

Hi, This seems like a really stupid question amongs all these impressive ones about dreamweaver etc...but I'm having a problem with saving pictures from the internet.
Up to a few days ago, I could just right click on a picture and save it as a jpeg, but now whenever I right click it only gives me the option (under save as file type) to save as an art file or a bitmap file, and when I do either of those and then try to open the picture in my normal image viewer it doesn't recognise the file type.

Why can't I save as jpegs anymore?!

What browser are you using ? Have you installed any new software in the last few days ?

Not sure why it is doing that but one way around it is to use a grab tool like mwsnap3. This enables you to grab any image even copyright protected images and save them as jpegs.

Alternatively you can go to the page on the net where the image is, if you are using internet explorer and click on view/source. This will have the url for the picture, simply save it from there!

Try emptying your Temp Internet Files and see if it works.

If that doesn't work it could be an AOL thing. If you upgraded AOL it might have changed some settings. Change your file compression settings in AOL to "Never compress graphics" and empty your cache again.

BTW .art files are a proprietary AOL format and the only image viewer I know of that can open them is Internet Explorer.
