Installing programs on partitioned drives ...
Normally, this wouldn't be a problem. However, I have recently downloaded a game which for some reason needs to be on C drive, and will not be installed any other way. If I attempt to install it, it asks me to free up space on C, despite the installer being in G and C being full. Do I just cut my losses, or is there something I can do here (other than empty C, thanks, I'm not quite that stupid)?

Welcome
![]() Unfortunately it does seem like a really badly written program.

I agree with degsy, a crap installer is to blame here.
Not much you can do except perhaps (if it's not impossible to at least temporarily free up some C drive space and let it install there) is to try moving it with PCMag's COA utility www.pcmag.com/article/0,2997,a=3368,00.asp

Thanks very much, it's good to know it wasn't me being stupid again ^^''. I'll save that link for later use (it'd be nice to be able to move Office ...) but C drive's my Dad's, so I'd rather not touch it for now. I think I might get a friend to get all the files and put it on CD or something similar ... that may work.
