Framework can't see drive

There's an old DOS program called Framework that I am loathe to give up. I've been using it for twenty years. On my newest laptop, it cannot see the hard disk. This is an 80Gig drive. The software hasn't been supported for years, so I was hoping that an intelligent tech forum like this might have an answer for me.
