I recently upgraded my video card drivers to the latest nvidia drivers. I have a nvidia 6800 128 card. Upon doing this, it caused all the movies I try to play in windows media player to have a distorted color when I try to play them. The video appears very light and has a variety of distorted colors. I reverted back to my old drivers and the problem didnt happen anymore, but I had other problems with the previous drivers. Is there anyway to correct this problem and still keep the current drivers

Did you visit the website of the manufactorer of the video card to to check for patches. Not alot but this has helped me with alot of computer woes.

This is the newest driver and there aren't any patch. I got it to where in windows media player the problem is fixed, but other media players like the bin and cue player I sometimes use are still affected by this problem. This is how I fixed it in windows media player. Tools... Options.... Performance.... and moved the video acceleration bar from the far right to the middle. This fixed it in windows media player but not it my other applications. Still any suggestions>

Hi stephenp1983, take a look in the Nvidia control panel. I think there is setting in there that may help (sorry, my Nvidia card is in a Linux system so I haven't looked at the Windows version for a long time).
