Hi mdpseven1 - try this:
Right click on your Taskbar, select Properties and click on Start Menu Programs > Advanced, expand and click on Startup If there is a shortcut to data789.tmp, delete it. Then just to be sure, go to Start > Run> type MSCONFIG go to the Startup tab, uncheck any reference to data789.tmp Check your Registry. Go to Start > Run type REGEDIT click Edit > Search search for data789.tmp Delete any reference (always backup your Registry first before making any changes) Go to Start > Find or Search > Files or Folders Search for data789.tmp Delete any results for data789.tmp Just to be on the safe side, when you have finished checking, update your AV and run a full scan or run an online virus scan from here. It probably wouldnt hurt to scan for Spyware either. You can download AdAware and RefUpdate from here. Make sure that you read all the instructions before installing. Hope this helps. Cheers AM |
