This program is needed to open file types .jpg

Clear the web browser cache and uninstall the aol adapter.

what else could it be?

I dont even have an Internet Explorer Icon anymore or Aol Icons after I did that so I dont know what else to do the AOL tech couldnt help me he said to call the aol tech by phone but Id rather have written instructions instead of over the phone instructions can anyone help?

Hey there again.

There is a hard way and an easy way to achieve this. I am sure in your case AOL is going to complicate matters and result in us needing to go the hard way but let's try the two easy ways first.

1) Find a .jpg file and click ONCE to highlight.
Hold Shift and right-click the file and you should have an option to open with...
Find an application in the list that is capable of opening .jpg files e.g iexplore (not a good choice) or MSpaint (better) or a non-MS app like Paintshop or something and open it with that application.
If it opens it OK, repeat the process and this time tick the box at the bottom of the "open with" window that says "Always use the program to open this type of file".

2) Even easier, download and install the best free graphics viewer available - Irfanview. During the install process you will see an option to associate all image files with irfanview. Done!

But I'm sure that will muck up your AOL internet connection.
Thankfully I don't have to deal with that down here but from what I've heard you will need to reinstall the AOL adapter.
