I hate my computer

I have a very wierd problem. everytime i use anything with java my computer slows way down and i have to reboot then after i reboot my cd rom is really messed up it just sits there with the light on and spins whenever it fells the need to and my cd rom drive doesnt show up in my computer. any suggestions?

Hi mikewitkow,

Java is a programming language. There isn't a lot of it around. What
leads you to believe Java is involved? There are also JavaScript and
Java Applets. JavaScript is a scripting code used on Web pages and
Java Applets are small graphical Java language images which are also
used on Web pages. Is your problem regarding pages loading when
surfing the Web?

More information about your computer would be helpful. A full list
of the components and amount of RAM etc. Otherwise it's just
about impossible to determine what is going on at your end. All we
can possibly know about your computer is what you type out here
so help us help you by posting your full stats...
computer make/model
amount of RAM
CPU speed and type
motherboard make/model
graphics card
sound card
hard drive make/model
CD-ROM make/model
any other devices like network card, DVD, CD-RW etc.

It's also helpful to know what is running on startup. The System Tray
is the indented thing where your clock is, all the icons to the left of
the clock are programs that are using resources (some memory).
The programs are set to start when Windows98 starts. Let us know
what's in there as well.
