Outlook and Outlook Express

I have both Outlook & Outlook Express on my xp Pro computer. Have not been using them (go through yahoo & hotmail ) . Now I need to for my PPC .

My internet provider (Charter Communications ) helped me set up a email for Outlook Express . Since they dont work with Outlook, only Outlook Express, I have a couple of questions . I notice also that their incoming email is a pop address not pop3.

1 ) How do I set up an account with Outlook and what email address would I use since I cant use my Charter address?

2) How can I transfer over email from Outlook Express to Outlook ?

Howdy:

Just use the exact same settings for your OE account to setup your Outlook account..

Then, just import your messages, address book, etc!!

Thanks alot. I used the same settings and went to my hotmail account and sent myself two messages but they dont show up. Yet when I go into my user account for Outlook , it shows up. Any advice.

Where aren't they showing up?? Outlook Express or Outlook??

Which are you checking first - Outlook Express or Outlook??

Sorry, they arent showing up in Outlook . I go to Outlook first and there is no messages. I go to Outlook Express and they are all there.

I did get a message just now when I tried it before replying back, when I open Outlook , the message said something about a new account being open , would I like it to be configured . I said "Yes" but nothing happened.

I finally got them to show up. Now if I can get it to sync to my ppc. Thanks alot for your help.
