I use Windows 98.
When I put an audio CD in the drive the auto player kicks in correctly but the music is inaudible. You know its playing but there is hardly any sound coming through the speakers.
All my volume controls seem correct. CDs with visuals as well work as do games sounds, but ordinary CDs canhardly be heard.
Please help as I like to listen to music as I work.
Thanks

Hi ValW,

CD Reader 2.00 (http://www.url.ru/~copah/) helps just about any
stubborn drive that has trouble reading CDDA/CDDB format in music CDs.

It is meant to run with the Winamp (http://www.winamp.com/) player.
Download whole CD Reader here for Winamp (http://www.url.ru/~copah/CDReader.htm)
there is a June.15.2002 release file CD Reader 2.00 here (http://www.url.ru/~copah/).

Install both and you should be fine.

CDReader runs in three players (http://www.url.ru/~copah/CDReader.htm).
Apollo (http://www.hut.fi/%7Ehylinen/apollo/), Sonique (http://sonique.lycos.com/), and Winamp (http://www.winamp.com/).
