Fonts missing in WinWord

Some time in the last week, all but one font disappeared from
Word on my computer. The font file in C:Windows looks fine, but
I can't change to another font in Word. Can someone help me out?

Hi PapaR - Go to My Computer and open Control Panel. Open Fonts. How many fonts are is displayed in there?

Hi again PapaR - Thank you. I received your email telling me that there are "zillions" of fonts in your Fonts folder.

There is a similar documented issue with Word in Windows95/98/ME if your default printer does not support TrueType fonts. See here. I dont know what version of Word you are using however there is a similar issue with Word 2000 here. Post back and let us know if this helps.

Thank you verrrry much! The second site that you gave me had the answer. I re-installed my printer & driver and my fonts are back! Wonderful!
