Embeding video - with link inside file

I have spent countless hours trying to find this code. You do not know how much it would mean to me if someone could help me out here. I've been to microsoft.com, Google, HTML chats, tech forums and everything with no luck!

What I'm trying to do is embed a WMV file into my site. However, I want a small clip (advertisement) to play BEFORE the actual WMV file. I want this small clip to play, then after it finishes you have to click the video file and then it will play the actual WMV file. You can see an exact example of what I want here: http://www.digitaltutors.com/digita...video.php?v=211

I asked the webmaster how he accomplished this and he gave me the code. But I can't use the code because it's for Quicktime movies and not WMV files. If someone could please help me out here I would appreciate it so much!

Thanks.

I tried, I can't find anything like that for Windows Media Player format.

Looks like if you want this...
I want this small clip to play, then after it finishes you have to click the video file and then it will play the actual WMV file
...then your going to have to go with QuickTime.

Your welcome.

If it's any help at all, I don't believe Windows Media Player has the capability
of the view screen being clicked to engage "play" on a video.

I was thinking about your request.

With *.wmv (Windows Media Player) what you can do (with the right program) is after video #1
is played you can automatically open the default browser to any specified Web page.

So that Web page could be your Video #2 loaded, embedded and ready to play. You can set
an embedded *.wmv to *not* play on load and have the first frame in the video as a still picture
that says "Click play to start"

If that fits with your plan you can do that with Adobe Premier.

Thanks so much for coming back and suggesting that option. It actually sounds like that may work so I'm going to be spending the next couple of days searching and seeing what I can do...luckily I have Adobe Premiere!

Thanks again!

Here is a demo of what I was talkin' about.

I threw this together quick to give you a feel to see if this is what your after.
I am throwing a link to open the browser, after video #1 finishes playing, to a standard Web page.
You'll be throwing it to another embedded page with video #2 who's first frame has the
click play to start thingy. Your Autoplay in the embed will be set to False.
