We have a Dlink dl-524 router, with a dl-120+ router on a different computer. We also have a laptop that has a wireless card installed. Today the 524 router was unplugged and when it was plugged back in the internet connection on its own computer was fine, but the laptop & 120+ router are not detecting a signal. We have tried reinstalling bother routers and still are having the same problem. We don't understand why it would work fine before it was unplugged, and then not work on the upstairs computers trying to get a signal.
Can anyone help?!

So what you have are two routers in the same house both connected to different computers?

Ahh ok that makes more sense. Now when you try to "view available networks" what does the wi-fi adaptor do? Does it show any networks or nothing?

Well its showing 1 available connection...but its not this one lol It gets connected but very poorly..thinking its a neighbors. But its not showing the router we have down here on the list. Yet his internet on the computer with the router is working fine...throught the router.

Ok so I now know why I am not getting a signal. For some reason its only network connection is the Netgear card installed in his computer...and the dlink connetion isn't even here anymore. So I am going to try creating this connection. <sigh>
