Well, the current situation I had is with 3 computers, 2 are wired to the routher, while 1 is wireless. Everytime it rained or stormed, we would be disconnected. I was aware a lot of people had this problem, but we decided to call our ISP anyways. They said our modem possibly could have been shocked from the storms and they decided to send us a new one. With the new modem, the same problem existed, but not as much. However, we had a new problem with this modem. Whenever the wireless pc computer turned on or connected to the network, both the wired computers would be disconnected and in about 30 seconds they would reconnect. Nothing too major, but somewhat annoying. After about a week, the problem only occured 50% of the times. Then another storm came and it occured almost everytime again. Anyone know what is causing this problem?

It sounds like some of the connectors outside your house is getting water in them. I had the same type of problem, when we had a heavy rain my internet connection degraded or stopped working completely. Every time my cable company finally got someone to look at it is was working. After this happened a few times they finally sent someone to check everything out. They found that a couple the connectors on the cable from the street to my house were getting water in them. They replaced them and packed up the new ones in a waterproof housing. i have not had the problem since them.

The bottem line, get your ISP out there and make sure they check the cable from the street to your house.
